Attorney Sharon L. Pope

Attorney Sharon Pope earned her Juris Doctorate from Michigan’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School and has long been regarded by clients and colleagues alike as one of the finest Elder and Disability Law practitioners in Connecticut. She is on the Executive Committees of the Elder Law, Estates & Probate Sections of the Connecticut Bar Association, where she is an officer of the Elder Law Section and was awarded the 2006 Pro Bono Award. She is also a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and The Academy of Special Needs Planners and has earned her accreditation as a Veteran Affairs Claims Attorney. Her current role as a Director on several non-profit Boards, including the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut, the Spina Bifida Association of Connecticut, PLAN of Connecticut, the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) and the New England Cognitive Center, has distinguished her as a leader in these fields.

Attorney Pope is particularly pleased to announce her recent certification as a Medicare Set-Aside Consultant (MSCC), making her one of the first attorneys in Connecticut to offer such leading-edge expertise. This credential is designed to identify those legal professionals who, relative to their work with Personal Injury/Worker’s Compensation attorneys, have achieved specific training in Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements and have demonstrated a breadth of knowledge regarding the development and application of the Medicare Set-Aside Arrangement process.
